This image which shows the De La Warr Pavilion facing out onto the charming Bexhill seafront was initially commissioned for the DLWP. The building, which is now considered a modernist classic, was designed in the 1930's by two of the most celebrated architectural émigrés to the United Kingdom of the period, Serge Chermayeff and Eric Mendelsohn.
