A detailed study of Christ Church Gateway, the ornate main entrance to Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, UK.
The gateway was built by Henry VII, as a memorial to his son Arthur, Prince of Wales, who died in 1502 aged just 16. The bronze figure of Christ in the centre is a more recent addition, installed in 1991 replacing a figure of Christ destroyed in 1642 by Parliamentarians who used the figure for target practice. A perfect gift for visitors or locals alike to celebrate this beautiful, medieval Cathedral city.
