Celebrate East Sussex heritage with this bold Rye Windmill art print by Andy Tuohy — a striking tribute to one of the county’s most picturesque landmarks.

A mill has stood on this site since at least 1596, with the first known structure dating from 1758. After a fire in 1930 destroyed the original wooden smock, the windmill was carefully rebuilt in 1932 and continued as a bakery until 1976, later becoming a pottery. Since 1984, the mill has operated as a unique Grade II listed bed and breakfast, welcoming guests from around the world (see more at www.ryewindmill). Its riverside setting and iconic sails make it one of Rye’s most photographed and best-loved buildings.

This vibrant design captures the windmill’s character and history, making it a perfect piece for lovers of Sussex landscapes, heritage architecture and coastal towns.
