This coastal art print captures the westward view from Folkestone toward the village of Sandgate — a gentle sweep of seaside homes, shingle beaches, and layered chalk cliffs.
Sandgate was once home to author H.G. Wells, and the nearby town of Folkestone inspired his novel Kipps, embedding this part of the coast into British literary history.
Part of Andy Tuohy’s Kent series, the piece draws from the visual language of mid-century railway posters and classic travel art. The soft palette and clean lines celebrate the quieter side of England’s southern coastline.
