We are very pleased to have put up Andy's image of The Towner Gallery in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Andy has put in few nods to Eric Ravilious, in the form of his stylistically rendered trees and clouds as Ravilious himself had a long association with Eastbourne and who has many works are housed within the gallery.
Towner is Eastbourne's foremost museum of art. From its opening in 1923 the Towner Art Gallery was located in an 18th-century manor house in Manor Gardens, in the Old Town district of Eastbourne. It was relocated to a new state-of-the-art gallery, designed by Rick Mather Architects, adjacent to the Eastbourne Congress Theatre, Devonshire Park which opened in April 2009.
