Sparks, formed in 1971 by brothers Ron and Russell Mael, is an influential American rock band known for their eclectic and innovative sound. Hailing from Los Angeles, the duo has explored diverse genres, from glam rock to synth-pop, earning a devoted fan base. Their breakthrough came with the 1974 hit "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us." Sparks continued to evolve, collaborating with artists like Giorgio Moroder and creating concept albums. With a career spanning decades, Sparks remains celebrated for their witty lyrics, distinctive vocals, and fearless musical experimentation, solidifying their status as avant-garde pioneers.
